Academic background

  • PhD in Geosciences and Geoinformatics 2004,
    Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie Nancy and TU Freiberg, thesis: "A 3d geoscience information system framework", supervised by Prof. Jean-Laurent Mallet (»Gocad Research Group, ENSG Nancy) and Prof. Helmut Schaeben (TU Freiberg). »more
  • MSc in Geology/ TU Freiberg: "3d geomodeling of the Saxothuringian zone of the Variscan orogen." Based on various geophysical and geological data a large-scale 3d geomodel has been created. This work stimulated and supported new insights of the regional crustal evolution. »more
  • BSc(Honors) in Geosciences / University of Cape Town: "Structural geology and metamorphism of the Sout-River Area/South Africa." Based on structural analysis and geothermobarometry a Pan-African thrust could be distinguished from Nama group basement.
