Miscellaneous software & scripts
Some Gocad-related scripts:
- wells2gocad.py converts vertical wells to Gocad well format:
requires two table files with
ID X Y Z TVDMAX(optional) and ID TVD MARKERNAME
as input but can easily be adapted; Python required
- gocad2flac3d.py converts Gocad Solid files to Itasca Flac3d files for geomechanical/finite difference modelling
- azidip2normvec.psc computes normal property as 3d vector from azimut+dip properties (the normal can be used as D.S.I. constraint for surface modelling)
GeoShow 3d Viewer
- Visualize Gocad structural models (surfaces, lines, points) in VRML
(based on Cortona engine)

to list the objects

Gocad interfaces - ESRI. Import of ArcView
Shape files (suspended - now part of the official Gocad
Filter plugin); Import of ArcInfo e00 Polygon coverages,

Gocad interfaces - Oracle. Import
of well data from the Oracle data base to Gocad as Well-objects. You can
select data based on properties incl. location.
Gocad interfaces - XML.
Development of XML Schemas for storage of Gocad models. Filter for import
