The Freiberger Forschungshefte represent a very traditional
journal of the Freiberg University "Bergakademie". The topics of the
publications are focused on new results of or related to the scientific research
at the Freiberg University. Within the series "C - Geowissenschaften"
(geosciences) now as a continuation of the series "Beiträge zur allgemeinen
und speziellen Paläontologie" (contributions on common and special
palaeontology) the journal
"Paläontologie, Stratigraphie, Fazies –
psf"
(palaeontology, stratigraphy, facies)
is published since 1993 (issue 1: 1993, issue 2: 1994, issue
3: 1996).
Apart from the papers of scientists of the Freiberg University articles from
colleagues of other universities, institutions, and from the industry are also
welcome. Topics of these papers are questions of inter-regional importance as
well on basic research as on methodical and applied subjects, too. The main
emphasis is on the fields of palaeontology, sedimentology, facies analysis,
stratigraphy, and palecology. The special interest of the journal lies in the
combination of these topics with neighbouring research fields of natural sciences
and of technical sciences.
Since 1995 the Freiberger Forschungshefte are self-produced
and are self-published by the Freiberg University. The tables of content as
